vivastory The only shortlisted fiction I've read is Shuggie & I don't think it will win simply because it's on the MB shortlist & stands a decent chance of winning the MB. Based on reviews & general buzz, I'm guessing that Leave the World Behind or Secret Lives of Church Ladies will win. 4y

Hooked_on_books I‘m excited, but have also found the fiction long and short lists a little perplexing this year. My taste is usually right in line with NBA and, of the 7 I‘ve read in fiction, I‘ve been a little underwhelmed. I haven‘t read Church Ladies or Shuggie yet, so of the other three, I‘d love to see Interior Chinatown win. It‘s tight, funny, sad, and super clever. 4y
