I couldn't put this book down. It was insightful, interesting and hi-larious 🤣. It includes the Danish outlook on everything from pay equality to bakery etiquette, from the princess stick to hygge. There is some actual insight on a welfare state as well as hijinks at the local health club. I finished binge listening to S-Town yesterday. It was interesting in a weird way. I had this nagging feeling that I had read something like that before. Today I realized the book was Midnight in the Garden of Evil. A mysterious murder, crazy real-life characters, and antiques all set in a small southern town with its own secrets.
