Have not read the book, reviews pan it,no particular Katherine character, yet Katherines drive the book. Reminds me of my 8th grade year: 8 Kathetines in my class so in order to distinguish myself, I adopted Kathie, with its deliberate"ie" ending as no one else spelled their name that way. I go by Katherine now, but Kathie emerges from my past with those who knew me in my younger years.
