I read this in 2011. It is book 7 of the Clare Fergusson and Russ Van Alstyne Mystery Series.
pickI was very happy to return to the lives of Clare and Russ. They are well-developed flawed characters and this plot kept the pages turning until the surprise ending. Series should be read in order although this one works as a standalone too. Cliffhanger ending makes me look forward to the next book. Highly recommend to mystery readers. I would like to thank NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for a free copy for an honest review.

If you haven‘t read Julia Spencer Fleming‘s Clare Ferguson series, you need to. I‘ve been waiting for her 9th book since 2014. Her husband passed away and she was in the middle of writing Hid From Our Eyes and now it is at the publisher for editing and will be out early 2020.
