bailed
I don‘t know who is invading or why (for this to be the invader series) and I don‘t rightly care. The Prologue showed promise, but the first chapter fell so flat I didn‘t even make it halfway though it‘s 52 pages. I just couldn‘t do it anymore, especially knowing I had so many better books to read instead. I‘m sorry I spent money on this drivel.

GingerAntics I really didn‘t want these two bails to be part of my final numbers for this year, but in the 100+ books I‘ve read this year, I feel like only having about 4 books come out as bails probably isn‘t so bad. There is plenty of other stuff I read this year, that don‘t count as books, that make up for these two epic fail bails. @julesG 6y
julesG It is freeing to bail on a bad book. Especially given that there are do many more out there. It frees up your mind and reading time. I haven't regretted a single bail, but I've regretted lost reading time that I spent reading a bad book I didn't dare to bail. Enjoy the better books! 6y
GingerAntics @julesG yeah, I used to see bailing as quitting. I spent so much time in high school trying to power through books and it would either throw me into a reading slump or I would watch a lot of tv to avoid reading the bad book. I think it‘s been this year that I bailed on a book for the first time. It felt very empowering. I feel like there is something to powering through a book sometimes, but not when school is not involved. lol 6y
