This is possibly one of the most depressing books I have ever read. It is the story of two young men for whom life has been an abundance of tragedy and cruelty. While it is listed as a thriller it is only towards the end that the book feels like one. In spite of all that, this a novel that I will remember and the characters have invaded my soul.
