This is the best book in the series. It takes a huge dark turn!
I love the beginning of the book before Hogwarts as we don't go back to school until 1/4 into the book! I think it's criminal that the movie doesn't show much of Sirius as he becomes such a great godfather to Harry in GoF.
The scenes where Harry relives the graveyard to Sirius & Dumbledore, also Sirius & Mrs Weasley sitting by his bedside get me every time 🥺
Also, Dobby is back! 🥰
So, this week I went to the second Harry Potter audiobook on my daily commute. Somehow listening to it feels like Christmas even though it is one whole year again. But hearing about Hofwarts and the Gryffindor common room creates a cozy feeling. And Dumbledore‘s craving for a cup of hot chocolate does its bit as well. ☕️☕️☕️
Carlos Ponce has great tone and the acting skills to portray all of the characters and his voice pitch for Hermione always makes me giggle while his tone for Snape, always makes me pause to listen. Bless whoever had the idea to have him narrate this in Spanish!
Still a solid read all these years later, even if I do not like or agree with the author's comments and persona.
One of the best books in the entire series. I adore Remus Lupin, and my favourite character in the franchise is Sirius Black.
As part of my Christmas reading/listening, last week I listened to the first Harry Potter. It have been some years since I read it and I really enjoyed remembering all those tiny little details that the world of Hogwarts is about.
Forgot how much I loved this one! We meet some great characters in this novel, including Lucius Malfoy, Arthur Weasley, and of course... Dobby!
“The worst thing that good cold do to evil.was ignore it.“
I needed to get out of my reading slump...
It doesn't even need a review, really, does it? An absolute classic.
