That's right kids, be comfortable with your personal preferences and don't let the world dictate what you should be, or else the (body) HORRORS will be visited upon thee! 🤦🏼♂️ Camilla's transformation was unsettling but entertaining, but the way this author/illustrator paints people in general does not work for me. Do not think I'll be investigating his other work.
Yes, I do believe I would scream too.
Has David Shannon considered writing horror? 🫣
I appreciate the levels of creativity evident in such a surreal concoction, but was no one afraid they might traumatize the demographic that typically reads picture books?! 😬
Little Oliver learns that he can't lose himself just to fit in.
1. 📚 📺 Behind Her Eyes the book and the series on Netflix are great.
2. Caramel Apples - all kinds
3. Whenever the mood strikes really but I probably read more when the kid is asleep lol 🌙
4. These lovey Litsy events of course 😉 and the fact that Texas very briefly stops acting as an agent of Satan 🥵 (currently still waiting 😂)
5. My handle uses my middle name, Marie which I share with half the planet I‘m sure 🥱

This is about a young girl who is very ill. The type of illness she has is very odd, because it continues to change her skin into different colors and patterns. She is very upset about this change that is happening to her. She doesn't want to be seen anywhere. However, she learns to love the skin that she is in eventually. This is a story that teaches confidence and self-worth. It is a great read and has a great lesson.
