I read 8 books in February. A slow month for me. Pictured is my reading journal where I like to draw in their spines next to a star rating. I write the full title and author name on the left page.
Favorites were my rereads of Moon Called & Blood Bound with A Closed & Common Orbit being a close second.
Finished out the month with a couple of Ruby Dixon books from her Aspect & Anchor series which is one of hers I have not yet finished reading. ⬇️
To whoever said this book was spicy, well, they were not joking.Nevertheless, there were parts I enjoyed, but the majority was disappointing as I found plotholes and questionable character choices.I did like the family dynamics of our main character, wished there was a lot more of it! All this said, I still think I might read the rest of the books in this series in the hope that it will get better at the fun and cosy part!
P.S. I love the cover!
Newest finished book vs newest edition to my library
Had to drag myself through the first 20% but well worth the pay off. I saw so many complaints about the writing style of this. Growing up reading Tolkien, the writing style wasn‘t difficult to get through. 4✨ & I can‘t wait to get my hands on the next installation in October.
That time I stopped taking myself so seriously and read a fun romantsy novel! The title explains it all, and there are 2 more books in the series to keep the good times alive! Zero regrets!

#February2025
The premise of the book was very interesting. But when the Glacians first arrived to get the human sacrifices, I thought they were dragons. I soon figured out that they were humanoids with wings. Even though the story took place mostly on icy mountains, I was getting tired of hearing about how cold they were. There was some sex but the writing felt juvenile So the book was good, but not as good as I wanted. I don't know if I will finish the series
I took a break midway through my worldbuilding-forward dark fantasy and switched to this character-driven historical fantasy set in a queernorm version of Regency England. It‘s an absolute delight as of 24%. I‘m happy with my life choices.
In search of another cozy-type fantasy w/humor and light romance, I came upon this. Since it was on Kindle Unlimited, I didn't realize it was over 1,000 pages until I started. It has great reviews, rated high. I thought it was more acceptable to read 1 big book than 5 (like a lot of series are nowadays.) But it didn't get to the part I wanted! I wanted so much to see Sasha in Between and see how Lorn and her figure things out! Still enjoyable. 4⭐
