4.5⭐️ well, I like that one better than the first one. I wasn‘t bored with the majority of the book so that was a positive. But that ending… Why? I hope this doesn‘t get any weirder, but seeing that she just released book 6 and this is 2, It‘s going to. Anyways, it‘s a good book, you should read it. Starts a little slow - but the last 200 Pages just flew away. Predictable but very readable. A little spice, but not very much and egen it ends you are hooked on book number two in the Series

This was mentioned in a NYT article, so I decided to try it, and I‘m so glad I did. This is such different world building, and I loved it. I‘m not sure how I feel about the ribbons, or the term “saddle,” but I‘ll def be reading the rest of the series.

Engaging, fantasy story of a girl on the run. She ends up traveling with a band of mercenaries who demand truth while she has lived her life holding secrets close. 3rd person, multiple POV. Set up for the sequel which I‘ll read but not rushing to grab.

This was my bedtime book and it's perfect to read if you need to calm down. It does have romance elements, but if you're in the mood for some romance romance, this is not it. Another point that makes this book different. The magic system is also very interesting. And it's a book for people who love music 🎵🎶💖

For quite a bit of this book, I liked it more than the first, but then I got about 3/4 of the way through & I was just annoyed & it felt like it was going so slowly. But by the end, I was sad that my time with these characters was over!
So if nothing else, Broadbent certainly made a world that I felt very present in. And even though I felt so weird about this book by the end, I do think I would be interested in reading the others in this world.

Listened to the audiobook, loved the narrators. I have been seeing this book everywhere so I took a chance on it. The plot was good I hope this story continues. I rated the book a 3 out of 5 stars.

Starting the weekend and the #BirthdayBashReadathon off right with a book and some cuddle support from all three kitties 😻
