This was awesome 🤩! Twisty, spicy, suspenseful.. all of the things! Hoping to get to Brimstone in January.

Didn't love this one as much as the other two I've read from this author but still very much enjoyed 😊

With her kids out of the house and her husband passed on, Twyla let her best friend, Frank, talk her into joining the Tanria Marshals to be his partner. Eight years later the Marshals are reduced to glorified park rangers… until dragons are discovered.
Twyla and Frank‘s easy friendship suddenly gets more complicated when a dragon expert joins their group and they all get caught up in a smuggling plot.

Delayed morning thanks to this gorgeous snow, so spending some time with Callie Hart! 🤩 ❄️

I‘ve got most of my to-do list done, so it‘s time for a book & Casey break! I started GO LUCK YOURSELF last night and almost abandoned it because I wasn‘t really feeling it. I‘m enjoying it a bit more now, past the 100-page mark, but I still don‘t feel as strongly as I want to. A lot of my issues with THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE KISSMAS are still very much present, and there‘s just not enough of a spark to overcome them.

I read these when I learned that Tears of the Wolf is a sort of prequel. The writing is not as good as these newest two books, but it‘s a solid story about two cursed individuals trying to survive, break their curses and have fallen in love- and basically a lot of people are trying to capture and or kill them. Also monsters.

I just realized I have not been posting books as I read- no clue how that happened!!! I had a hard time getting into this book- and for the first half would have considered it a so-so, but as parts came together I began to enjoy it more and by the end was satisfied with the direction it went in. This is the first of a duology- and I would love to hear other thoughts/discuss with anyone else who read it.

5/5 ⭐️ I absolutely love this book. It was funny and sad. I love all the characters. I want to learn more about Taladaius. Carrion, I loved how funny he was. Never serious. I am still shock about Carrion secret. I didn‘t see that one coming. If you love ACOTAR, I recommend you read this.

Alluring cover. Intriguing world-building. Quirky gargoyle sidekick. Sweet budding romance. Devastating villainy. I‘m in for Book 2.
