May finish tagged book by the end of the day. The others are looking like potentials for the rest of the week.

A history read for the weekend ❤️ recommended by @LeahBergen a while ago and just getting to. This is an ex library book from 1979.

Have this on the tbr at home - recommended by @LeahBergen - I hadn‘t heard of this one though I‘ve read all her others. She‘s a brilliant historical writer and her Brothers of Gwynedd quartet is brilliant.
I found this one a bit harder to get into than the first book, but it ended up bring a good read nonetheless. And having seen Simon de Montfort from this perspective, I will be interested to read Sharon Kay Penman's Welsh Princes trilogy.
Easy choice for me today: the Brothers of Gwynedd! The Dragon at Noonday is up next for me.

A very good book and one that feels lke it is playing a long game. I think the quartet could easily be read as one long book, but the division into four makes it more manageable. Also, not too much technical detail of battle and no gratuitous naughty scenes! Yay!
