Pickpick

I found this one a bit harder to get into than the first book, but it ended up bring a good read nonetheless. And having seen Simon de Montfort from this perspective, I will be interested to read Sharon Kay Penman's Welsh Princes trilogy.

TrishB Loved these - but Penman's Welsh trilogy is completely awesome 😀 8y
rabbitprincess @TrishB Looking forward to swapping series with my mum! She is reading Penman while I am reading Pargeter 😄 8y
TrishB @rabbitprincess they are very different styles, but still great 8y
rwmg How do the Welsh books compare with Cadfael? 8y
rabbitprincess @TrishB Interesting! @rwmg I've read only one Cadfael and probably like this series better. But I would chalk it up to personal preference; for some reason I find books about monks boring on some level. 8y

rabbitprincess @LeahBergen Hoping to get back to Gwynedd once I've read book 5 in the Poldark series. There's a year-long group read on LibraryThing and I'm just joining for books 5 and 6, which should also be the ground covered by Series 3 of the Aidan Turner version 😊 8y
