Cookbook of recipes, with Ukrainian word, and how to cook them was amazing to go through. Nice list of ingredients, beautiful photos, short blurb on what it is in relation to the author. Really helps it feel like it could be from my Бабса. Including some old Slavic and other countries recipes.
My problem is the translation to Ukrainian. Most do correctly, some don‘t seem to. I‘ll have to ask Мамо when I gift it. Language is usually overshadowed

It‘s an indescribable feeling to see foods I grew up with, being Ukrainian, in a cookbook. Especially one designated as the countries. Although I do wonder about some of these being “recipes from a Ukrainian kitchen” as in something more European than Ukraine itself. Ukraine is smelting pot all its own, though, from all its years under other countries rule.
This soup is borsch.
This will be a Christmas gift to my мамо

Didn't realize we had one of Anne Applebaum's books! It's called Twilight of Democracy and was released last year, I've read Red Famine at my professor's recommendation and enjoyed her writing. Let's see what we have here #nonfiction #easterneuropean #history #anywayyoureadathon @kimmypete1 @Eggbeater @MidnightBookGirl

This was a wonderful book and great for #ReadingEurope2020. Folklore from Turkey, Republic of Georgia, Serbia, Slovakia, Croatia, Moldavia, Latvia, Russia, Estonia, and Chechnya. Each tale has a parable. Just wonderful. @Librarybelle @BarbaraBB 37/50
