My #doublespin for this month was a book for Ellie‘s (our daughter who will be arriving in May) library. For the rest of the time I‘m pregnant, I want to read children‘s books from my collection and choose my favorites to include in her first library in her nursery 😊 this was my first read and I really enjoyed what a simple, but heartfelt, story it is ❤️

wordslinger42 I was also excited to find a library card on the inside of the front cover with the names of kiddos who had checked the book out. I always think finding things like that in old books is the coolest thing! 2mo
TEArificbooks I recommend Mo Willems to add to her library. The elephant and piggie books are my kids‘ favorite when they were younger. They like them better than Dr. Seuss. 2mo
TheBookHippie @TEArificbooks I second that! My son adored them! 2mo

LeahBergen I adore all of Rumer Godden‘s “doll” books. I just recently reread The Fairy Doll for Christmas. 😄 2mo
TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!! What a lovely thing to do!!! If you are looking for picture books, I always recommend Once Upon a Golden Apple, which I just think is the cutest ever! 2mo

This is an odd book, but a very imaginative tale. It‘s a pretty slow unfolding of events, but not necessarily boring. It‘s hard to pin it to a genre, it‘s mystery, romance fantasy and adventure.

I liked the feminist stance towards the end.

Mrs_B Just realised that is a less than useless review. Apologies all! 5mo
Bette Not at all useless, you mentioned the genres and how imaginative it was, all that is intriguing. 👍 5mo
