Love this book, which is the first book in the little known Chris Bronson Series. If you like code style thrillers and religious conspiracies I would encourage you to look at this book and series. Up to today there weren‘t even any posts for this book. A lot of years since I read it and pre Litsy days.

#WanderingJune Day 25: The story told in brilliant accordion format begins with a fairly vivid description of this young boy‘s village #DownInMexico flanked by the mountains on one side and the sea on the other. The chaotic nature of migration is perfectly captured with the presence of the police, the wall that divides one place from another, the desperate men willing to risk everything to go to the other side. My review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-chS

Nute Does the entire book fold out like an accordion? 5y

#OldCoolBooks #day22 #Codex This codex fascinates me, it‘s a circular book measuring 9cm across with a 3cm bound spine with a beautiful cover & 3 clasps to hold it closed. Inside is a gorgeous version of The Book Of Hours, a devotional text, with stunning illuminations & script in Latin. Made in the late 15th century, it‘s thought to be a personal book, one meant to be carried to church or on long journeys. Old books are so lovely!

Slajaunie This is so interesting but I am fascinated by history! 7y

This book comes through again with a blurb on the Mendoza Codex--an Aztec codex created 14 years after the Spanish conquest of Mexico in 1521. It describes life in 14th century Mexico. The blurb in the book is about wine that had regulations for drinking-however older men were exempt due to their age & having grandchildren, so they could be 'merry.'

A codex is an ancient manuscript text in book form. Here is a picture of an old Mayan #codex.

ReadZenRites Oh, yes, the Bible IS a codification of several books, making it a Codex. Pardon me while I have an “AHA” moment here. By myself. In the middle of the night. 👋🏻😆 (edited) 7y
Author_Chelsea_Warren_PA I have the same copy of the Amplified Version! 6y

Unknown origins? An indecipherable language? Is it real or a clever forgery? The Rohonc #Codex is the type of literary mystery that makes my Indiana Jones-wannabe heart flutter.
