What a lovely little nature book, made me think a little bit about Bambi, making this year of children‘s classics reading a complete circle. So glad it was put on my radar. Thank you @TheBookHippie for a great year of reading and introducing me to books I never would have known about.

I jumped the gun and read this early. This was my second read and only read of a Nancy Drew title. I never read her as a child but I certainly hope to read more as an adult. Obviously this is very dated and a very quick read but Nancy Drew as an mc is still timeless.
so-soIt was a good read , I can‘t say it‘s the best. I like Alcott‘s other works. It started off very nicely , but in the mid way I felt it dragged a bit. And I dint like the animal abuse part in children book, it‘s hard to read. But overall it‘s a good story I switched to audio and enjoyed it. I like happy endings 🥰 #childrenclassicread2023
