#chiTownDevil I find I‘m mesmerized by Larson‘s writing. He‘s the best combination of storyteller & historian. I feel much more captivated by the chapters dealing with H.H. Holmes but the building/planning of the fair is actually stupendous. What a time to be alive! Every page mentions another prominent figure which is incredibly fascinating to me. ( Disney, Helen Keller, Susan B. Anthony, Frank L. Baum) How are my buddy -readers enjoying???

TracyReadsBooks Love this book!!! Hollywood has been circling around making it into a movie for the longest time. According to reports out last year, an adaptation is in the works with Leonardo DiCaprio to star and Martin Scorsese to direct. Fingers crossed—the story certainly is great source material for a movie! 6y

Centique On my TBR! I‘ve been helping my 87yo dad find books and he LOVED Erik Larson‘s ‘Dead Wake‘ and is currently enjoying ‘Isaacs Storm‘. I think this one might be more my style than his though - his books need to include boats/planes/mountains/wilderness/storms/war. 😂😂😂 6y
