Not bad, entertained while still being sick with this damn chest cold, but feel it coming to an end thank god
I love Finch‘s historical mysteries featuring Charles Lennox. Set in Victorian England, they are cleverly written, full of witty dialogue and the plots never disappoint.
I‘d love to hear your recommendations for similar series.
Happy Friday to you all.
A Beautiful Blue Death is the first in the Charles Lennox mystery series.
Charles Finch's books are worth the read and improve as Charles Lennox's sleuthing skills become Sherlockesque.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I‘ve begun to read the Charles Finch series featuring the detective Charles Lenox. Set in the 19th Century, and largely in London, they‘re full of historical detail. A Beautiful Death is the 1st, a great mystery that begins with the death of a maid and ends when a investment fraud is revealed.
The 2nd in the series, September Society, is even better, revealing a conspiracy that began in the Sutlej Frontier in Punjab.
Try them, you‘ll like them
This is my September #BookSpinBingo list @TheAromaofBooks My reading production is limited to 8 or 9 books per month, but here I am, persistent to continue in this challenge every month😳I'm always excited to collect the books, I start with a lot of energy, and then life has other plans, excuses☺️I have here a couple of sequels which is one of my 2020 goals, to complete at least 4 series. Let's try BookSpinBingo...again🤗
No electricity means loads of time for reading.
Thanks to #netgalley for the opportunity to read this book
I have read several books in this Lenox series and mostly enjoyed. This is a prequel to the first book of the series. Finch captures the tone and style of 1850s English upper class. Lenox is asked to find a missing picture from the home of the Duke of Dorset. This leads to a search for an unpublished manuscript by Shakespeare. Recommend
