

Sooooooooooooo I don't enjoy Irish immigration books. (The stories of actual people are great, though.) There are so many books just like this! I don't know why we needed another one. But once the story moved more into the contemporary family, I was much more invested. I wish the beginning had felt fresh, but I've read the same thing too many times.
