My brother called asking for read-a-loud recommendations for my 4yo nephew, so I jumped into action! ? Here's what I came up with!
Our shelves skew a little "girly", but I am a firm believer that boys can & SHOULD read books starring girls (and vice versa), so I feel pretty happy about these picks! Any more "boyish" ideas though? I'm drawing a blank. #readaloud #booksaremybatsignal

JillR I agree re Mercy Watson, also Bink and Gollie. I recently bought the Magic Tree House series for a 4 year old boy along with some of the Claude books and the Magic Dragon series, all went down well. My son loved all the Ronald Dahl's from around 4 too, and Dick King Smith has been a hit with my daughter. 8y
