Pickpick

I don't know if this counts for #booked2108 refugee MC, but it's a few true tales of kids that fled their country to seek asylum. How scary it is, how expensive it is, and how they are locked into camps like criminals.
It's a good way to explain to children, to show that its important to show empathy and kindness to these people who cant go home for fear of being killed.
@4thhouseontheleft

benchley1 @4thhouseontheleft yay!! I had a back up book, but I'm glad I went with this one. 6y

Pickpick

I‘ve been meaning to read this horror book for a while and finally got around to it. I loved the structure of the story as it weaves back and forth between the violence starting and the aftermath where no one dares risk a glimpse or they‘ll go insane. Lots of questions left unanswered but in a good way as it leaves more to the imagination. Not too gruesome either as this is more #oldschoolhorror or #postapocalyptic

DavidDiamond Been on my list for awhile too. Thanks for review! 7y
Debiw781 @DavidDiamond I finally caved in and enjoyed it! Not what I expected but that‘s not necessarily a bad thing. 7y

Cinfhen It was such a #spookyread ~ The NOT KNOWING was so unnerving 7y
Debiw781 @Cinfhen I‘m an end peeker and had to resist pretty hard on this one because yes, the not knowing was part of the book‘s appeal 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage I should read this one! Great pick! 7y
