My planned TBR for January. For #SeriesLove2023 I‘m starting with the Lives of Mayfair Witches trilogy. Hoping to finish all of these this month.

I finally broke my #bookbuyban for 2022, it‘s been an awful year already so far, my birthday was a bust with us being sick, so I thought bugger it. 12 books later…They range from Crime to SciFi to Fantasy & Historical. With 3 signed copies! The hubby is going to South Australia for almost two weeks to see his 93yr old Nanna so it‘s a perfect time to tempt my reading brain with some new reads. Fingers crossed it gets it moving again🤞🤞🤞
I‘ve been generally good at sticking to my #bookbuyban but I broke it a little in June. So, Bk1 of my #JuneBookHaul is the 3rd book in Brodsky‘s “Olympus Bound” series about the goddess Artemis, now living in NYC, protecting women in trouble. After gradually losing most of her powers, she‘s now dealing with rogue elements of her family who are determined to get theirs back by any means possible. I loved the first two so have high hopes
Bk1 of my #MayBookHaul is this new release from the author of the Broken Earth trilogy, which I loved. I‘ve been on a #bookbuyban for a few months now but I may have slipped, just a little🤭 This is the 1st in a new urban fantasy series where the great cities of the world are alive through human avatars. When the avatar of NYC vanishes, 5 new avatars representing the 5 boroughs unite to protect their city from a common enemy. Sounds intriguing👍
And finally, close up of the top of the right #stack of my #Scareathlon #TBR This part includes my #ScaryScavengerHunt #AboutHalloween(Halloween Party) #WithZombiesInIt (BoneHouses) #ThatScaresYou (The Haunting Of Hill House #WithAPumpkinOnTheCover (Halloween Party doing double duty) & #WithAMatteCover (Luminous Dead, Frankisstein) The rest of the prompts are #ThatsOver200Pages #WhereACharacterDies & #IsPartOfASeries which any of these will cover.
#AyUpAugust #Day14 #Animal This one is right up there with “Most unique SciFi ever written” Gary is a half unicorn space pilot who has his ancestral stone ship stolen & is put in chains so Captain Jenny can use his ground down horn to power the faster-than-light drive. Years later, when he‘s finally free,he gets involved in a doublecross & is rescued by the very person who held him captive and has to make a deal with the devil to get his ship back.
#wildworld | I loved The Call of the Wild when I finally read it a few years ago. I‘ve yet to read White Fang. How amazing are these covers?!

#BookMail Pt1 I have over a week of books to post, so bear with me. I think there‘ll be a #bookbuyban coming up soon🥺 #somanybookssolittlefunds Anyway, this is the 4th & final book in the MurderBot series, don‘t you love it when you get sent the 1st & 4th book and are still waiting for bks 2 & 3 weeks later? I‘m trying not to even read the blurb for this in case it spoils the other two!🤫
I can‘t pick one #favoriteseries, but the Getty/Khattak mysteries are definitely near the top of any list of beloved books. The writing and the characters are all great and each book does what great books should do - stretch the reader outside of their comfort zone and make them FEEL. This shelf contains two other favorite series - Khan‘s fantasy series, The Khorasan Archives, and my small Akashic Noir collection. 😍😍 #24in48 #hour30
Every time, I tell myself I will not sign up for the Readathon, and then I do. I‘m going to run two timers...one for #24B4Monday, since that one gives me 3 days and another for #24in48. These are the books I really want to finish this weekend, but if I‘m honest, I‘ll probably bail on the tagged book. I‘m 120 pages into, haven‘t touched it in two weeks, and kind of dread opening it up again. 🤷🏻♀️
