Day13 #booktober #bestsidekicks Since I just finished the audio of Book 10 in the Charley Davidson series, I immediately thought of Cookie Kowalski--BFF, neighbor & assistant/researcher for Charley's P.I. business. The fact Cookie is there through thick & thin & knows/accepts Charley is a Grim Reaper makes her a great sidekick. Their friendship has evolved thru the series & their shared obsession for coffee & witty banter help make the series fun.

Although she's technically part of a group, we haven't really gotten into Betty's back story yet, so she's currently more a sidekick. I love her. She's a lesbian gnome who basically subsists on hallucinogens and candy! #bestsidekicks #booktober

One of the #bestsidekicks has to be Abby Normal in Christopher Moore's vampire series, A Love Story!

Susan Bennett narrates the audiobook and does a perfect job with Abby.

Wayne of the newer Mistborn novels is definitely on of the #bestsidekicks. Slightly cleptomanic, with a cool set of skills and always a creative curse on the lips.
Jenks, the pixie from the Hollows series has some of the best curses ever, many of them involving Tinkelbell, is another one.
Bartimaeus may be the main character of the books, but in their world he would be seen as Nathaniel's sidekick. I love Bartimaeus so I had to pick him too😍

I was looking at my bookshelves to tee up some posts while I'm away on vacation and I spotted this ragtag bunch. How can you beat the Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion, and the Tin Woodman for sidekicks? And don't forget Toto!

I've been away from Litsy for a bit and I haven't been keeping up with #booktober, but I had to jump in for #bestsidekicks. Both of my favorite books put the sidekicks in the spotlight: The (unnamed) narrator of The Gone Away World is Gonzo Lubitsch's sidekick, and Lamb is the story of Biff, who's sidekick to Jesus!
