dabbe @Elizabeth2 HUGE sigh of relief. Our Pippa had her first grand mal in 6 months this past week. Talk about timing, right? She's doing okay, but like you know, it is NOT pleasant to see them go through that. These dogs. 😅 Good girl, Hazel! 🖤🐾🖤 1mo
Elizabeth2 @dabbe oh no. I‘m so sorry. I‘m glad she‘s okay now. But witnessing it is so traumatic. I always pick our girl up and hold her during, and the vet told me that I absolutely should not be doing that. That I could hurt her, or she could bite me unintentionally. Make sure their safe and time them is all you can do. It‘s so traumatic to witness. I lose a sense of security afterward, and begin worrying that another one could hit anytime.😢 1mo
Elizabeth2 @dabbe I‘ll tell you what my vet told us - one seizure in six months is amazing. Our vet said it‘s rare to see that happen in a pup that suffers from seizures. Sometimes the best medicine is a loving parent, and clearly Pippa has that. ❤️🐾 (I had a guinea pig named Pippa a few years ago. ❤️) 1mo

Ours was the class pet that we adopted at the end of that school year, and named Pippa by the teacher who was obsessed with the Royal wedding that summer. 🤣 I hope your Pippa pup is recovering well and goes at least another 6 months without another seizure. ❤️🐾 1mo
dabbe @Elizabeth2 Well, now comes the full disclosure. Our 2 German shepherds are named Kate and Pippa for Princess Kate and her sister Pippa. #anothersmallworld 🤩 And here's to both Hazel and Pip being seizure free--for a lllloooonnnngggg time. 🖤🐾🖤 1mo
