“The comte forgot to inquire after Mazarin; that was an old habit.”

I‘m moving straight into the next audiobook for my #YearofDumas. I still probably won‘t get to read them all this year, but I hope to make more progress. I love the humor in these stories, and Athos most of all, since he tends to be the most straight-laced of the original band of musketeers. 💖

Pickpick

I‘m finally done with this #YearOfDumas reread (thank you 2020). Not a fan of the audiobook narrator, but I enjoyed this continuation of the adventures of the four musketeers. Twenty years have scattered our heroes and divided them politically, but we get more swashbuckling adventures, a new cardinal, and a deadly new enemy! Wordy, as is most popular 19th C French literature, but I‘m a fan. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Had to make a little change to my #weeklyforecast since I finished the Singh yesterday. I‘ve decided trying to stick to my original 2020 challenge is too stressful, so I‘m abandoning it. Maybe I‘ll make progress on the #yearofdumas. Maybe I‘ll bail on that, too. If my eyes can handle the digital, I‘d like to finish Beneath the Mountain and start Sanctuary. If not, then I‘ll pick up the Klune, since it‘s print and will give my eyes a break.

Not exactly dazzling, but a decent week, all things considered. Finished the Silva and the audiobook of the last of the Lewis trilogy. Both good. Made no progress for my #yearofdumas, but started 3 others (1 print, 1 ebook, 1 audio). There‘s a chance I could finish the Singh today, but time is passing weirdly and Bookly says I still have 4 hours to go. I doubt I‘ll make it.

DGRachel @Cinfhen Thanks! I thought the pressed paper backgrounds on pic collage were pretty. 😊 5y

There‘s not a new Getty/Khattak mystery this year, which makes me sad. Instead, I‘ve made April my month of Ausma recommendations - books she‘s directly told me about or books/authors she‘s boosted on social media. 💖 I‘ve got three books from March to finish (including one audiobook), and I may be giving up on my #yearofdumas. It‘s turning into a real struggle and I don‘t have the mental spoons to power through. 🤷🏻‍♀️ #apriltbr

Combo of my #weeklyforecast and my #AprilForecast. No idea if I‘ll get to the tagged book, since I have so much left of March‘s #yearofdumas selection. I need to finish my current reads, and then I can move onto my April Theme, which is books/authors recommended by one of my favorite authors, Ausma Zehanat Khan, a selection of which are listed here.

Cinfhen I like your upcoming theme 💗👍🏻 5y

I had a terrible week last week. Terrible. Between killer migraines and a frustrating doctor‘s appointment and work stress, I didn‘t manage to finish anything or even reach my #yearofdumas page goal. But, since today was the first day in two weeks that I felt remotely decent, I went out and did stuff rather than read, so I‘m sure I won‘t make my page goal by the end of the day and I‘m actually okay with that. 🤷🏻‍♀️ #bookreport

valeriegeary Sorry your week was rough. ❤️❤️ 5y

Forecasting: Methods and Applications | Spyros G. Makridakis, Rob J. Hyndman

It‘s a tad early, but here‘s my #weeklyforecast: I need to reach page 366 of Twenty Years After to stay on track for my #yearofdumas. I have one NetGalley ARC that releases this month to finish and I‘ve picked a TBR audiobook for the week that fits my March theme. I also hope to start either the next Daniel Silva book or one of the Tailored Book Recommendations that happens to match my March theme.

Cinfhen Love the graphics and category boxes 💓💛💓 5y

This is a combination #weeklyforecast for the first week of March and my proposed #MarchTBR. I hope to reach page 168 in the tagged book for my #YearofDumas, listen to the third book in the Milo Weaver series, and at least start my #NetGalley ARC of the latest Milo Weaver book. Time permitting, I‘d also like to dive into my personal TBR challenge, with March‘s theme of spy novels. The list has just a few from my shelves. 🤓

Cinfhen What a clever idea 💡 giving your month a theme 🤓Solid plan/ best of luck ☘️💚😘 5y

The Red Sphinx is a highly entertaining adventure tale full of intrigue, sword fights, and a fair bit of chaste romance. I think that's why I love Dumas so much. There is so much joy in the text. I have so much more to say about this, but it can't fit into 451 characters, so more babbling about this sequel, translators, and Dumas on my blog:
