Mehso-so

3✨Okay, I messed up on this one. I didn‘t realize when I started this that it was the fourth book in the series. I was lost at first, but quickly picked up on what was happening. We basically have a half blood werewolf and vampire/fairy that are connected in one way. I didn‘t really care for the characters, but this could be because I didn‘t get much back story jumping into the middle. I‘m not going to continue or go back and more my fault.

KristiAhlers I felt the same way pretty much. 10mo
Roary47 @KristiAhlers That‘s good. I felt bad because I jumped in the middle without realizing it, but I was just meh. 10mo

Yay! I am really behind on my buddy reads. I hope to finish the tagged, my #BookSpin is almost done “Outwitting Stress”. Then I would like to catch up Anne of Green Gables, Return of the King, #NancyDrewBR #PemberLittens and #FellowshipofTolkien It‘s doable with a three day weekend as long as I catch up on sleep too. @Andrew65 #JoyousJanuary

📖 Most of this series is a re-read for me, having read the first five books in HS/college. Fragile Eternity was a bit of a drag for me, but this one! I had forgotten that this was my favorite! Ani and Devlin are so compelling and fit so well together, the instant magnetism between them had me from the get go. Rae one the other hand… the trouple aspect seems a tad forced if you ask me.

I was a bit annoyed how this started: new main characters without telling who they were. It took me some time to remember who Ani was.

The world and atmosphere were again well created & amazing.

This felt a bit too detailed, hard to follow and slow. It took too long before things started to happen - I had already almost lost my interest at that point. There were good twists and I love stories that are unpredictable.

TheSpineView Well done! 2y

I didn't love characters, and I missed the characters of the previous book. It was sometimes a bit hard to understand their motives.

The thing I love in these books is this ugly and dangerous fairy world. And again you saw how things are going to end ugly and you couldn't do anything.

The weakness of this book was plot: Things went forward and toward the next installment but as an individual book not so much happened.

TheSpineView That's a shame! 2y
Andrew65 Sometimes series can be infuriating, and with some books being better than it here. Well done on completing this. 👏👏👏 2y

I thought I wouldn't like this but somehow the book got me loving this ugly world with desires & temptations. I loved chemistry between Leslie & Niall and I loved the writing that wasn't too dramatic.

This was quite heavy book to read! Leslie was living in dirty world and there were several unbelievable disturbing things.

I loved the ending, but I know it surely divides opinions.

Andrew65 Brilliant, well done🥳 2y

Ugh I started this one about a month ago and really had a hard time connecting with it. Although I love Devlin‘s character…I didn‘t love much beyond that. To be honest the first 100 pages were boring. Hopefully the next book in the series is more engaging. I so loved the first books. #100readchallenge
