#threelistthursday #tlt @dabbe

Only 45/100 for this retired English teacher. 😱 Thanks to all of you who played, I am reprioritizing my TBR! Favorites today are above; hard to limit to just three.

What got me most about this list was how to rectify things like WAR & PEACE, CHARLOTTE'S WEB, 50 SHADES OF GREY, and THE TWILIGHT SERIES being on the SAME list! #whatthe 🤣
Here's the link again if you'd like to play: https://shorturl.at/SVh6e

BooksandCoffee4Me 42, not stellar. Loved DuMaurier‘s Rebecca! And so remember that day when my poor 6th-grade boys were trying so hard to hide their crying during Where the Red Fern Grows. Oh, and love that Hatchet got one of my inner-city guys to read a whole book! 10h
willaful @BooksandCoffee4Me My husband loved Hatchet. 9h
willaful 35 for me. And a lot of DNFs. 😂

It's an odd list! I have no idea what the theme is.

Librarybelle 36 for me, though I‘ve read parts of the Narnia series, not the whole series. Lots on my to read list. 9h
dabbe @BooksandCoffee4Me My 4th grade teacher read WHERE THE RED FERN GROWS to us chapter by chapter after afternoon recess to calm us down. She had never read it before, and when she got to the end, she had to run out of the room sobbing while we sobbed without her. 😭

Loved HATCHET, too, though DOGSONG is my favorite of his. Thanks for playing and sharing. 💙📚💚

dabbe @willaful From their website: “The Great American Read's criteria primarily focused on fiction books, specifically those loved by the American public. A survey conducted by PBS, The Great American Read, and a polling service formed the basis for the top 100 list.“

No wonder it's all over the place! 🤣 Thanks for playing and sharing. 💙📚💚

dabbe @Librarybelle 🎯🩵🎯 Did you see that only ONE Christie made the list? And it happens to be my favorite of hers, AND THEN THERE WERE NONE. I loved teaching that in high school! Thanks for playing and sharing. 💙📚💚 9h
shortsarahrose 22 for me, which is better than I expected? Agree with The Little Prince. Moby Dick and Little Women are other favorites. 9h
Librarybelle Yes! That‘s my favorite Christie too. Maybe it made the list because it is so suspenseful??? In any case, a worthy mention. 9h
dabbe @shortsarahrose 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 for reading MOBY DICK. I got as far as “Call Me Ishmael.“ 🤣 Thanks for playing and sharing. 💙📚💚 9h
dabbe @Librarybelle That one had one of the best surprise endings I have ever read. 9h
Butterfinger I look forward to these each Thursday. Thank you. 8h
dabbe @Butterfinger Well, you just made my day! TY! 😍 8h
Amiable 46! I‘m surprised—I usually score much lower on these lists. I‘m with you —how dare this list include both “A Prayer for Owen Meany” (my favorite book of all-time) and “50 Shades of Grey”??? That‘s a travesty. 😖😠 4h
RaeLovesToRead Lol, there is a lot of crap on this list 🤣🤣🤣 i got 34/100 1h
TheBookHippie @RaeLovesToRead lots of CRAP. And I read a lot of crap on it 🤦🏻‍♀️😝 45m

#EmojiNov #day5 #🤷🏻‍♀️#WhatThe? This novel from start to finish had me going “What the hell am I reading?!” The story is so strange and weird, I have no clue what the inside of the authors brain looks like, but I bet she‘d rival Stephen King himself! With living spaceships, all female human race, recycling people, women giving birth to ship parts & womb swapping, there‘s a hella ton of crazy here, but so well written you can‘t put it down🤷🏻‍♀️

TobeyTheScavengerMonk I‘ve heard the author call the genre of this book “wombpunk”. 7y
Lizpixie @TobeyTheScavengerMonk hah! That is so appropriate! Have you read it? 7y
