I enjoyed this book and will definitely continue this trilogy. I didn't like Alina at all not even Mal. I'm rooting for the Darkling though so you figure that I'm only going to continue this trilogy cuz of the Darkling 😂🤣. I know it's not gonna end well for him but I just need to have more of him. He's definitely my (only) favourite villain 😍😍

I honestly didn't expect to love this book so much💙 I must confess, my mom bought me this book about 2 years ago, and I didnt actually read it till last summer. I totally regret letting it sit on my shelves for so long! The Darkling is seriously the broodiest loves of all time, but I can't get enough! I wonder if I would have enjoyed these more if I hadn't read Six of Crows/Crooked Kindgom first. SoC blew me away and I fell in love with the characters and the Grisha series left me feeling a bit... meh. The protagonist Alina got on my nerves and I couldn't connect with her but I love Prince Nikolai 😍

MyBookishSecret I've only read "Shadow and Bone", but because I read "Six of Crows" first too, it was a let down. The writing was not as flawless as in "Six of Crows" - at least we can see how much Leigh Bardugo improved her writing. ? 7y
