Great rpg setting for lovers of superheroes!
41/100 There is a killer lose in Gotham, named Midnight, who takes the heart of their victims. Working with some of Batman's most notorious foes, Joker, Scarecrow, Clayface, they wreak terror on the city. The story is kind of clunky, exposition heavy, and Midnight's true identity is pretty obvious. What saves this from a so-so rating, is the amazing artwork by Kelly Jones. Jones truly captures Batman as a creature of the night, and since this ⬇️

To me, this iteration of SUPERMAN (late ‘80‘s) by the great John Byrne and Jerry Ordway, is the sweet spot for the character. Bright and colorful, yet shedding the ridiculous fringes of the Golden and Silver eras. There are still zany plots and characters, but with just enough pathos to be taken seriously. Fun, with a hint of realism, is just the right flavor of the Son of Krypton for my tastes.

Really enjoying the art, so pretty 😍😍
When my kids were younger, we loved the Marvel and some DC superheroes. But I‘ve never wanted to read a superhero book. I tried the tagged book solely for #authoramonth. It‘s easy to believe an extraordinary author wrote this one. Diana is young and not battle-tested. She innocently and with a big heart saves the Warbringer from drowning near Diana‘s island, bringing risk to her own home and the world. So of course now she risks all to try to ⬇️
Everyone thinks Bruce Banner is dead. But he‘s not. He‘s just wandering around the US waiting for nightfall when ‘the other guy‘ emerges. This ‘reboot‘ is great! It takes the book back to its gothic horror roots, establishing a Jekyll / Hyde dynamic (and a bit of vampiric flavor in that ‘he only comes out at night). That Hulk is also crafty and devious, makes this story interesting. Oh, and he‘s also immortal! Worth checking out!
