Reflections from the Recliner | Fifth Floor Freddy

#HallowReads #day21 #StayOutSaturday Once again I have stayed out in my library all night and fallen asleep in my recliner. Pros: sleep surrounded by my lovely lovely books, no wanting to smother the hubby coz of his snoring 😴 Cons: can hardly walk from stiffness due to being in wrong position all night, woken up early coz no block out curtains on window. It's pretty 50/50 to me. Maybe if I move my bed in there & change the curtains? Hmmmm🤔

CuriousG I installed two large floor to ceiling bookshelves on my side of the bed. Fall asleep staring at books so it really does feel like sleeping in a library! Also managed to contain my hubby's snoring too. In his case was caused by sleep apnea so wearing his c-pap mask makes it go away. Otherwise, I would second the earplugs comment 7y

Lizpixie @JoeStalksBeck @teebe I'm currently in "negotiations" with hubby to put shelves in when we resheet & paint the wall behind our bed? @ApoptyGina69 @CuriousG I usually have shure in ear noise cancelling earphones with an audiobook playing but my headphones finally broke after four years & as they cost $400 I've gotta wait till Xmas for new ones? CuriousG @Lizpixie If you need something cheaper to carry you through to Christmas, you can get a half decent pair of noise-isolating headphones for under $30. My husband uses them because he has noise sensitivity. They don't cancel out the background noise, but they do help reduce how much gets through. 7y

teebe @Lizpixie if you sleep with headphones, I definitely recommend the kind that are built into a headband. No idea what they're properly called but if you search "sleep headphones" on amazon, a bunch come up. They're much more comfortable, sound great, and do a good job of blocking out other sound. 7y
