Finished up kate for book tour so I combined my review with a #soupersundays blog post today. I love O‘Neal‘s books when I want something not too heavy but good escapist story telling. This is about two sisters, daughters of a rock legend mother & the aunt who raised them. All 3 are a crossroads in life with career & relationship. There‘s the NYC setting, music, art, plants & creativity & I paired it with a creamy tomato soup made exotic with ⬇️

My finished Curry Rice a soup with Tofu & Chickpeas is vegan, delicious with the naan dipped in , & on the blog today for #soupersundays It‘s a mild Korma-style curry, creamy & satisfying. Link to recipe post is below.🍲

My library hold for this one came in. I hear it‘s good but a tear-jerker so I have to decide if I am mentally prepared for it. 🥺

Finally starting the 8th & newest book in the Tracy Crosswhite series. One of my favorites.🤗

I‘m still reading the book but the month isn‘t quite over yet for #FoodandLit #Ethiopia 😉 My Misr Wot or Ethiopian Red Lentil Stew was delicious. The spiced clarified butter (nit‘r qibe) & the berbere spice blend gave it so much flavor. It should be served with injera bread but I have had it before & don‘t really love it so I ate mine with a spoon & with rice.😉 Recipe (from Saveur magazine) link is below.

This “A Really Good Chana Masala Recipe” from Heidi Swanson, is just that, really good w/ lots of flavor & acidity. Calling it stew so it fits into #SouperSundays on the blog. Recipe link⬇️

The latest book from the Rockton series I ❤️. Just got the library ebook after picking up the library print copy yesterday. Trying to slow down, both because I have other books I need to read for reviews & because I don‘t want to finish & wait a year.🤷🏻‍♀️

It‘s a Creamy Brazilian Black Bean Soup or caldinho de feijão from a food blog called Brazilian Kitchen Abroad. I was coveting all the cheese bread I saw everyone eating but couldn‘t find Brazi Bites. I did find a local version that I am not sure how traditional it is. It was good with the soup though. My finished soup & blog post for #soupersundays is the Tomato Pasta Soup from the tagged cookbook. This soup is from the Ikiaria, Greece zone & it‘s thick, creamy, vegan & very low effort. Takes less than 30 minutes to make & if you use canned tomatoes, no chopping needed. It‘s the 2nd recipe I‘ve made from the book. Link to recipe is below.
