panI liked the mystery. The rest of it…oomph. The MC is an overweight homicide detective who has an overweight partner. Both are single men. The number of fat jokes and sexist remarks in this are not my thing. Comments about how a proper woman behaves irked me. There were other surprising elements to the narrative that did not sit well with me. I almost threw the book once…it was that bad!
