pickI‘m enjoying these books set in the War of the Spanish Succession set in the early part of the 18th Century. Plenty of action in this one, a battle, a spying mission, an escape from the Bastille and across France, and the maltreatment of a novice soldier that led to a surprise ending to the Battle 😱😢 Captain Rawson is a great character. #SeriesLoves2023 @TheSpineView

pick4/225 This was another enjoyable book for #SeriesLoves2023. This being the second book in the series and is set in the South-West corner of Wales. A man is stabbed to death in a remote forest, cue the hunt for a killer. It was good to get to know the team better in this one. It was a very good read, but not quite as good as the first one. I would like to find out more about Evan‘s past. @TheSpineView #3
