For #SeriesLove2025 , I have decided to read all the Beatrix Potter books. In January, I read The Tale of Peter Rabbit, which was like visiting a dear old friend, and The Tale of Squirrel Nutkin, which I had not read before. Although Squirrel Nutkin is adorable to look at, I was quite surprised by his rudeness of manner! 🐿️

3 ⭐ This is a sequel book to Something Wrong. This book is fine. It‘s over long by a lot. One of the characters is one that I think talks to hear themselves speak. But they do it in the guise of helping their friend. That is the important lesson to learn. It also shows that someone can say they‘re fine when they‘re not fine, but at what point is the line of finding out what fine actually means.
Good News! It‘s back….💡for how long? 🤷🏽♀️But I‘m charging everything to continue reading and look!!! 2024 closure is good…and also good premonition for what is going to happen in 2025 a wonderful reading time!!! I received TODAY, these two books I ordered. 😌📚🙌
The Three Wise Men figures will be there until mid of January. We continue the festivities 💃🏽 . Closure is with Las Fiestas de la Calle San Sebastián, Old SJ (January16-19)🪇🪘🎤🎼
This book can be used to discuss the emotions in each picture. Although there are no words the animals are expressive.
This book is a 2003 Caldecott winner. This story follows a rabbit who has a tendency to find trouble. The main thing that stood out to me in this story is the way the illustrator bolded the pictures and made them look comic-like with their black borders and skinny pages. The pictures also pull weight in telling the story without words.
This book would be wonderful to use with children in teaching then the importance of listening to adults so they can be safe.
