Copper Harbor, MI is the teeniest town- with an incredibly lovely and well-stacked bookstore! I love a surprise indie bookstore discovery, and this one fit the bill. Definitely take the time to visit Grandpa's Barn if you're out on the Keweenaw. #BookHaul #MittenLitten #PureMichigan

Tamra I love discovering those gems too! 2y
Tamra The Children‘s Blizzard is so good - harrowing. I was just recently listening to a meteorologist talk about that storm and apparently that winter season is the one Wilder based her book upon. 2y
jlhammar I enjoyed the Laskin, Williams & Hanff. Great haul! We stopped at Grandpa‘s Barn when we did the Lake Superior Circle Tour several years ago. Such a fun trip! 2y
LeahBergen Isn‘t it wonderful to find these little bookstores? ❤️ 2y

Kicked off the #ChapterADay read with the #PemberLittens in (not-so) grand fashion- aboard the SS Badger on Lake Michigan. Chapter 1 has me intrigued and eager to keep reading. Some of what the authors are positing feels at times like mere speculation given the lack of letters between the two; but I'm looking forward to learning more and happy to be along for this ride!

Filling the Book Backpack - the most important part of any trip prep! Headed due north for a #PureMichigan vacation and can't wait for a readathon by Lake Superior. Time to knock some of these off my TBR at last! 💙📚

jlhammar Great stack! I love Lake Superior. My husband and I drove around it (circle tour) several years back and had a wonderful vacation. And we go up to the MN north shore on a regular basis. Matrix is really good. I have the Russell in my own TBR stacks and have been curious about the Airgood and Patchett. Enjoy your trip! 2y

Got this book from the library as I love dark academia and it was on one of those “best of” lists for that genre. An interesting choice for that list but I can clearly see why it was included. This is a unique story and one that initially will leave you asking “what the heck am I reading.” However, it quickly begins revealing itself, bit by bit. A fascinating read. Worth your time if you like fantasy and, yes, dark academia. #puremichigan

It's been a heck of a week, Littens. I've spent the weekend recuperating and catching up on my reading and being incredibly lazy, but the best thing I did was go ahead and book a summer vacation. I cannot wait to get back up into the beautiful UP of #PureMichigan, and also can't wait to make vacation reading list!

Holy suspense!!! This was such fun…a very suspenseful page-turner/sort of erotic thriller/mystery. I had my suspicions about what was really going on but was wrong…or was I? The ending leaves plenty up in the air, which was initially a bit of a let down but the more I think about it the more it feels fitting. Some plot holes. Shallow characters. It‘s all about the suspense with this one. #puremichigan #beachread #houghtonlakemi #summerinmi

I loved this collection of six novellas, all revolving around the inhabitants of a strange little town called Goblin. Everything in the book is just delightfully weird. I also felt the short stories were very well done; they reminded me, skill-wise, of Stephen King‘s old school and excellent short story collection Night Shift. Each story left me wanting more. #netgalley #arc Photo credit to my daughter #petoskey #puremichigan #upnorth
