Loved it! Have always been a fan of the movie, and had no idea the author of the book also wrote the screenplay. The book dives deeper into the psychiatry of possible conditions ailing Regan, and then proof/evidence to be granted an exorcism. As the book went on, it was more thrilling and “unputdownable” 😅 Kinderman (the detective) was far more annoying in the book, and father Merrin had thoughtful insights as to why people experience exorcisms.

Reggie lol holy crap, what a cover. Not what I needed to see this late at night. Lolol 4d
AbstractMonica @Reggie hahah it spooked quite a few people irl, too 😅 4d

This was a crappy story of a little kid being followed by a demon.

Good morning! I'm about halfway through Incidents around the House and I absolutely love it. I had to stop reading it Saturday night because I started freaking myself out over every little sound I was hearing in my house. So going forward, I'm only reading it during the day. 😆☀️

Horror, Crime Mystery and Romantasy. That's quite a mix for this weekend. 😀

5-/5 ⭐
Is it ghosts or mental illness?
The ending is left open, which I personally don't like - I like certainty and knowing for sure what happened/will happen. Hence the minus, otherwise it would have been 5 stars for me.

An ok book - but a lot of this authors books are just plain weird 🤨🧐 I was hoping for… more 😔

I loved this! I‘m a huge Josh Malerman fan and I think I definitely liked this one as much as Bird Box and Malorie. The 8yr old protagonist Bela is a great narrator. She‘s extremely perceptive about what‘s happening even as her young age means she doesn‘t always understand. This is a super creepy story, with a lot to say about the weight of secrets and how we can‘t run from them. A slow burn, then very intense! With an open ending.
