Very good. Loved returning to these wonderful characters and seeing the continuation of their story. Sad to see the end of this series as it such good storytelling. Even though many sites don't state it this the fifth and final book in the Buckingham Hotel series.

rockpools Thanks! I didn‘t know it was the final one. Pretty sure we have it at work - I need to catch up. 2y
rockpools And yes (at the risk of sounding like a stick record) - it‘s a really good series, storytelling, characters. I think it‘s been a bit overlooked because of the Celebrity thing, but it‘s great! 2y
Birdsong28 @rockpools To be honest I am quite surprised that a non author (not his main job) has done such a good job. Yes unfortunately it's the final one 😔 if you don't have it at work I can send it you please let me know I will be more than happy to do that. Hopefully this new series will be good but I don't think he will top this! 2y

Good. Interesting characters as they were a German/English family in the midst of World War 1. It showed how the experience of war affected their place in the world and how they fitted into it.

Up next (and not quite sure I‘m ready for it with today‘s world) a book that releases in the UK on 9/3 and promises to be a tearjerker. 😔

I‘ve always loved mythology, and Artemis was my favorite goddess when I was a kid. It‘s interesting to read the stories in graphic novel form. Nice artwork too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Book 4 for @DeweysReadathon #Deweys24HrReadathon #DeweyOct

I liked this better than Poseidon. Being a physical copy helped. I think the electronic format doesn't lend itself very well when there are multiple stories involved.

Another winner in the Olympians series. Should have come before Apollo, I think, but I get why it didn‘t.

Fourth finish for #SummersEndReadathon #24B4Monday and closing in on 12 hours!

I can honestly say that I wouldn‘t have picked this up had it not been for the #ReadAroundTheWorldChallenge! This #Macedonia book is actually the fourth in Bova‘s series about Orion. I hate to read books out of order. But the book opens with Orion‘s amnesia on the battlefield facing Phillip II, so I dove in. And while Orion is my favorite constellation, he‘s not much of a hero here... but the #AncientAlien-esque premise held my attention!

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Metallica was formed the year I was born (1981) and I became a fan by default because of my older brother. He and I saw them live recently and, in a burst of nostalgia, I picked up this biography. Central to their story is bassist Cliff Burton‘s wholly devastating death in 1986; something they never really recovered from even with their massive success. Mick Wall gets bogged down in the minutiae, but it‘s a fascinating history.

Ericalambbrown Where‘d you see them? I took my husband to see them in Tulsa in January. 6y
britt_brooke @Ericalambbrown Thats awesome! We saw them in Nashville last month. 🤘🏻 6y
Ericalambbrown @britt_brooke OMG! I love Nashville! So we saw the same tour! 🤘🏻 6y
britt_brooke @Ericalambbrown Nashville is pretty fun! My family and I moved to the area about 4 years ago. I don‘t go down into the city nearly often enough. (edited) 6y
