The song Tainted Love was originally recorded by Gloria Jones as a B-side to My Bad Boy‘s Coming Home, which was a commercial flop. Destined for oblivion, the song was picked up a British Club DJ, and became popular in 1970s Northern Soul venues. Jones re-recorded the song in ‘76, but to still failed to chart. Then Soft Cell turned it in to a synth pop classic.

He travelled across the western frontier to meet and live with some of the most remote and fascinating Native American tribes.
During this period Native Americans were under severe pressure as the U.S. government was implementing policies which forced many of them off their ancestral lands and onto reservations west of the Mississippi River.
