The Books of Magic | Neil Gaiman

I checked this out through inter-library loan recently and finished it yesterday. It has some of the characters from the Sandman series. (Which John Constantine is also part of but I only sort of knew.) It was very good, though I admit that some parts were confusing for me. I've found when it comes to Neil it doesn't matter if you understand the ride though. It's still always interesting. At least for me.

Also, one of my co-workers who is a huge Gaiman fan, like me!, gifted me this and I still don't have words to describe how much I love it! 💕📚🥹 It's my first autographed Gaiman book, and I'll be honest and say I never thought I would be lucky enough to own one! 😭

I always loved the movie and didn‘t know it was based on a book. Once I discovered this, I borrowed the audio version from Borrowbox with my library card.

This was one of the best audio books I have ever listened to. There was a main narrator, and every character had their own voice. The story was as magical as I remember. It is a perfect modern fairy tale that will be loved for many years to come.

I don't know if I'm reading slower or reading Gaiman slow. Either way, this 330 page book took me a month to read. However, I still loved it!

I've discovered there's a miniseries and can't wait to get my hands on it and see this world brought to life.

The was my #GenreChallenge for March. Contemporary fantasy was the randomly chosen genre. This subgenre is a fantasy story in a modern-day setting. It often contains magic but it is not obvious.

Still working on “Neverwhere“ slowly but surely. Hoping to finish by the weekend and dive into my next read.

Love Gaiman but man, I read his works so slow. They are so good though!

Another book in my quest to read everything Gaiman‘s written (for adults, anyway). Not everything in this was a hit for me, but I really enjoyed most of them, especially the last one, Black Dog, and one in the middle about a cave in the mountains. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

29/150 I'm not sure how I missed this when it was first released, but I'm glad I've read it now. Neil Gaiman and P. Craig Russell together make magic in this beautiful Japanese story of a fox who falls in love with a Monk, and what she will do to save his life. The story is beautiful but heart wrenching, destined for tragedy. The artwork by Russell is amazing, I could see panels of this framed on people's wall as art. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
