so-soI enjoyed the addition of Rose in this book, but to be honest I found I didn‘t really care about the crimes investigated in this one and lacked endearing characters. This was very long winded in places. To be honest somewhere between so so and a pick. Usual issues a bit long winded and a lack of pace, tension and good dialogue that takes actions forward. A good editor is needed.

I think Rose did improve it from book 1 so hopefully the books will improve. Just feel pacier and shorter would be better. Also this storyline never really engaged me. Once I commit to something I like to see it through 😂 Hopefully they improve. 5y
