For the publishing year 2013 I selected this one. I had been waiting for this one for a good bit and finally got my hands on a copy. This book read so fast! The characters are insane (I mean seriously some should be considered certifiable) the twist too many to keep up with. Which led to a complete surprise at the end! Maybe because I didn‘t read book 1 I‘m not getting the hype for book 2. It was an ok read and had an ok cast of characters but it‘s been a book I‘ve picked up and put down a few times and finally committed to finishing. If you haven‘t read this author you MUST! Her writing is so lyrical and her characters are ones you want to take the journey with. This is a fairytale-esq story combining Princess and the Pea, a little Cinderella and her own unique myth to make a page turning story. ALL. THE. STARS! I truly wasn‘t sure if I was going to like this one. Bought it was a great deal of trepidation. OMG so very good. I laughed and cried.
