Where They Last Saw Her | Marcie R Rendon

Pickpick

“How the hell did we survive this long? she asked herself. How did our ancestors survive the broken hearts of children gone? Parents murdered? We have lived with losing loved ones for century after century. And we still have babies and keep loving. This love will break my heart.” This book is suspenseful, heartbreaking, and powerful. A story about #MMIW and the bystander effect. “It is a present-day, on-the-edge-of-trauma reality.”

I made this today for the, Missing & Murdered Indigenous Woman and Girls throughout the Americas.

While we're over half way into Native American heritage Month celebrations, I hope everyone keeps celebrating Native American Heritage all year round.

3rd in the series. Each book deals with a mystery and Cash discovering who she is after such a traumatic childhood. This book is dedicated to #MMIW and #stolenchildren.
I hope to read more of Cash Blackbear.

charl08 Ooh! I didn't know there was a new one. I think this series is just brilliant.Thank you for posting. 2y

#Justice, episode 8 of TNG, was not the way to make viewers start to care about Wesley. It went down from there for Wes. And the handkerchief bikinis... Well. Yeah. @Megabooks #startreksummermay #day2

Rather lets remember that thousands of Indigenous women are still murdered and missing, that Indigenous women are still going missing. We need #justice for them. #mmiw

Megabooks Planet of blond, tan, thin people...nothing problematic with asserting that as the right kind of beauty. #sarcasm And totally agree that we need true justice for North America‘s rightful inhabitants, both in Canada and the US! 6y

I've completed my GoodReads challenge. 52 matches my book count last year. I read 8 graphic novels with crucial themes this year. Betty touches my heart the most because Betty wanted to be a teacher. The missing and murdered Indigenous women inquiry is losing hope. Canadian politicians should read stories to understand how systemic oppression is killing Indigenous women. #MMIW
