Trying to remove all of the grass and weeds from my boulevard garden experiment ( a neighbour has plants to gift me and I need to clean it up more) this book was published in 2010 but not done on audio until 2017. I had no idea about AA‘s backstory or her commitment to the AIDS cause or children of incest foundation. She is really funny

Ruthiella Nice work! 👍 6mo
mcctrish @Ruthiella a neighbour is gifting me a bunch of plants she is separating and my phase 1 technique of just clearing a small spot is over- phase 2 is clear all the weeds so the plot is worthy of the donations. The rain tonight hopefully makes things easier tomorrow 6mo
Ruthiella Oh, rain is such a game changer when it comes to pulling weeds! 🤞 6mo

I got all my steps in today ( lots of laughing out loud to AA‘s descriptions of all the prairie things ) and our brand new flag hung up ( ours got stolen on the last day of June last year)

AlaMich Ah, Nellie and her otherworldly ringlets. They were sort of characters in themselves. 🤣 6mo

Oh Nellie! Enjoyed this book. Alison Arngrim is a real down to earth person. Her life was nothing compared to her home life on the prairie. She was a strong young woman who became the fighter she is today.

AkashaVampie I so hated her when I watch Little House On The Prairie 8mo
Pageturner1 @AkashaVampie she was a brat. Alison is such a different person. 8mo
AkashaVampie @Pageturner1 that makes sense. I bet most actors try to do parts that aren't their personality 8mo

Engaging read. Learned a lot about her, her career and the cast of Little House.

It's a windy day with widespread power outages expected. I may have to channel my inner Ma Ingalls and live without electricity ?

This book wasn't what I expected.

I wanted to read heartwarming stories from the set of Little House on the Prairie.

Instead, I read about a real (sometimes unlikable woman) with real struggles.

A good reminder not to assume you "know" a celebrity based on the character they portray.

I‘m really enjoying this buddy read hosted by @megnews 📚 I‘ve always had a fascination with Little House, and loved the shows. I have all the seasons, and it warms my heart to read these beautiful classics!

This book was a hoot! It was truly heartbreaking in places, but it was so funny in places I couldn‘t help myself laughing openly. Alison Arngrim‘s voice is truly the voice of Nellie, but she‘s an absolute hoot. I would love to see one of her stand up shows. She‘s the polar opposite of Nellie, but that almost makes the whole thing more intriguing. Now, I want to go back and rewatch the series, but cheer for Nellie the whole way.
