Pickpick

This book was just what I needed: to escape in Eva‘s and Shane‘s world. I rooted for them, I hurt when they did. I loved the dialogues, the flirting, I loved Audre and Cece.
I didn‘t think it especially steamy or sexy but I wasn‘t looking for that. I wanted romance and that‘s what I got. I look forward to discuss it during our #SummerHeat weekend 17-19 June!

TrishB @Megabooks my daughter has just laughed over my shoulder that I‘m going to read this! Which shows you how far from my comfort zone it is!! 2y

This was a fun enemies-to-lovers/second chance romance. Told in alternating POVs, this spicy tale tells us about Ambrosia & Chase then and now. Then: a semi-public sex scandal. Now: a lingering penchant for semi-public sex. Chase used to be BFFs with Ambrosia‘s brothers, so he calls her “Bro”. In her current life, she prefers “Sia”, leaving Ambrosia behind. My biggest gripe is that any way you cut it, the heroine‘s name feels cheesy. ⬇️

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick I appreciated that the reason they‘re enemies was a result of a legitimate shitty encounter and not just someone taking the other‘s parking space or some dumb contrived reason to hate one another. Chase id now a billionaire & bought the company Sia works for, thrusting them back into each other's lives. There‘s some witty banter between the two, some of it kind of weird, but it was a fun way to spend a few hours.
