The idiom #HoldYourHorses is used to tell someone to be patient, wait, or slow down. It‘s often used when someone is acting crazy, hyper or going too fast. The origin is the 19th century when horse-drawn carriages were the main mode of getting around & drivers controlled them by holding the reins.
This book I read several years ago is about slowing down & taking time to sit & meditate & I suggest holding horses.
