panYeah, sorry, this was a pan from me. The story was decent up until the ‘cliff-hanger‘ ending, but the cliff-hanger involved stopping mid-scene with a message along the lines of “want to know what happens next? Buy the next book here.”
I don‘t play that game. Wrap up except for a few unresolved threads and I‘ll happily follow those to the next book, but I didn‘t sign up for a serialised publication in an undisclosed number of parts.
