My books for the long and hopefully warm & sunny ☀️ weekend! I‘m already done with my reread of #Circe (5 stars ofc), and now I‘m reading The Book Thief, one of my 3 favourite books for the first time I English! I‘m very nervous about Bridge of Clay, that book has been waiting for 4 years but I‘m just too scared it won‘t meet my (high) expectations!

My university friend, who recently moved and now lives close to Berlin, invites me to a sleepover and we went shopping of course too! In the afternoon, we visited Dussmann (possibly my most favourite shop in the world) and I bought books, to no one‘s surprise.

It‘s surreal to read a novel about events that are still very vividly burned into my brain. The novel covers autumn 2019, the pandemic, the murder of George Floyd & BLM protests and finally, the election (2020 was WILD). I loved the writing and the focus on the indigenous community in the USA 🇺🇸.

Resting on the lake with my parents was a wonderful (and hot ☀️) opportunity to start Not Forgetting The Whale 🐳 by John Ironmonger. It takes me to Cornwall, a place I maybe would have visited in September on my personal UK tour (canceled obviously). I‘m liking it so far!
