YES! It‘s an attempted murder house gothic! I‘ve been cravjng one since I finished All of Us Murderers.

The weather is right for a gothic romance and I had this free ebook from the Gardner Francis Fox Library waiting!

This was a perfect gothic story for the October season. It weaves together elements of Jack the Ripper, Mary Reilly (movie), Jane Eyre, and Frankenstein. It was such a good story; I flew through the whole book in one day. I wished it was longer.

Honestly, the horror of some of the final chapter bumps this Gothic up to a light pick. Good for you, book!

Never read a condensed book before. Wow, info. just gets flown at the reader! A bit overwhelming...yet makes it more like a soap opera.

While many things happen, the mystery was light and fleeting. More of a drama.

I do like stories about self-discovery and the story is set up in an intriguing way, which held my interest while I waited for the mystery to unfold.

The surprising ending made this drama worthy. Completely unexpected.
