Catching up on #storysettings
I have read Town in a Blueberry Jam & Mum‘s the Word at some point in time. Your Guide to Forest Bathing I plan to read for hikes we do after school gets out. Midsummer Nights Dream we are reading in 9th grade English but abridged version which I could not find to picture. #StorySettings #Farm Wendell Berry is such a gifted writer. Well drawn characters and an incredible sense of place. Though his setting is in Kentucky, there are things in these two books common to farmers everywhere.
Cathching up with #StorySettings as I have a lovely case of (probably) bronchitis & have been working as much as I can then sleeping or trying to, the rest of the time. Not much reading or anything else happening. 🤧🤒😵💫
This book in my #TBR stack is about a woman who moves to Tonga in the 1950s to #Farm spiny lobster. 🦞🦞🦞
pick#StorySettings Day 22: This illustrated version of Animal #Farm by Ralph Steadman is a keeper. This 50th anniversary edition also contains Orwell‘s unpublished preface to the original edition and his preface to the 1947 Ukrainian edition.
