In my region Lower Carniola (Dolenjska) you can rent a vineyard cottage. It is called wines tourism. You can eat eco and bio food produced by a local farmers. And walking through beautiful green nature. Perfect if you want escape from the city. 💚

Long before ecotourism was a thing, my late spouse and I used to do primitive camping in Big Bend National Park where there are deserts, mountains and beautiful canyons. We would hike several miles in, and set up camp. It was the quietest and most pristine place I‘ve ever been.
