Douglas Preston, the #1 bestselling author of The Lost City of the Monkey God , presents jaw-dropping true stories of Egyptian burial chambers, prehistoric ruins, pirate treasure, bizarre crimes, and more. The Lost Tomb brings together an astonishing and compelling collection of true stories about buried treasure, enigmatic murders, lost tombs, bizarre crimes, and other fascinating tales

EadieB This was a very interesting book to read. I especially liked the part about the Monster of Florence. I need to read more about the Monster as I found that aspect of the book most interesting. The last section entitled The Lost Tomb was a great read also about the Egyptian tombs. If you like real-life stories of Bones, Burials and Murders then you will love this book. I‘m looking forward to reading another book by Douglas Preston. 13mo

The part of this adventure story that captured me most wasn‘t the adventure; it‘s what came after. The aftermath of discovering a “lost city” and a “new civilization” is fraught with hard calls and lots of consequence. Interesting nonfiction for sure!
